Good morning, Hope your day is off to a great start! I have an issue in Texas that I’m dealing with….Im an heir to a small estate of about 25 acres….one of the other heirs had a manufactured home on the property using less than an acre. They let the house go back and some way the mortgage company has placed a lien on the entire estate. I spoke with them explaining that it was heir property and asked if they did a title search and that a manufactured home was personal property, not real estate…. Needless to say they hung up on me after that and I haven’t been able to get in contact with them, but I had no idea it happened years ago and I don’t want it to hit the 10 year mark. Is there any advice you can offer from a Title perspective because I feel like something was terribly wrong here.(maybe even fraud) I’m in the process of hiring an attorney, but wanted to see if you had some insight.
