Hey Emanuel Hudson, Real DJ Skool 🚀
Hey Emanuel Hudson 👋 Just checked out Real DJ Skool. You're still early enough to structure the community properly before growth starts kicking in — which honestly is the best possible timing. We're currently helping new Skool owners turn empty/basic communities into launch-ready ecosystems completely free. Examples + full breakdown here: 👉 Community Launch Before vs after examples below 👇
Hey Emanuel Hudson, Real DJ Skool 🚀
Real DJs
Real DJs treat every gig likes its their last gig. Whether your audience is 2 people or 2k, big venue or small venue, headliner or opener. You are responsible for your image. People talk. Treat everyone with the same respect you expect to receive, even if someone doesn't seem respectful to you. Thats the reality of the industry. People gravitate more to partners that are easy to work with. Not someone that makes their life harder.

Track select
Its important to understand where your tracks belong. For example, Techno music: Techno music is meant to be heard in a specific environment. Back in the 80s Techno was played in abandoned or unused warehouses. They were produced and engineered to take advantage of the acoustics. The bass rumbled through metal and concrete. These materials dont absorb much, allowing the frequencies more power and giving an exaggerated sense of loudness. Even the size of the audience, down to the clothes they wear affect the acoustics. Keeping in mind the acoustics of your venue (with my class, I'll teach you how to do this) ,and allowing it to influence your selection will definitely set you apart from less thought out performances.

Track Select
5 Star continued. ⭐️For lowest energy "warmup"/introductory tracks ⭐️⭐️Icebreakers/line dances (for formal events). Just music that encourages, not demand, the audience come to the dance floor ⭐️⭐️⭐️This is where I rate the peak of the night music. Everyone whose on the dancefloor is compelled to stay. This can very shift tracks depending on your audience. 4 and five star in the next post...

Real DJs
Real DJs are always prepared. Remember Murphy's law. You must be prepared to improvise when the time comes for it. Bring extra wires, extension longer than you think you need, flash drives, etc..
