Most students are told to write long before they are taught how great writing actually works.
Read. Mimic. Write. is a writing community for students in grades 6–12 that is built around classic literature. Together, we read deeply, discuss literature openly, hunt for unforgettable lines, analyze powerful passages, and learn to write through imitation, experimentation, and practice.
Students learn to recognize strong writing, understand why it works, and apply those same techniques in their own work. We focus on literary analysis, sentence structure, imagery, rhythm, style, and the deeper truths that great authors communicate.
Inside the community, you'll find Foundations, Developing, and Advanced workshops, interactive discussions, Jewel Hunting challenges, writing exercises, and opportunities to give and receive constructive feedback.
