Prayer 🪽
Our Heavenly Father,
You see how quickly my heart can tighten when things aren’t moving fast enough, when I’m interrupted, inconvenienced, or misunderstood. Forgive me for the ways impatience spills out as sharp words, heavy sighs, judgment, or control. I confess that sometimes I want my comfort more than I want Your character formed in me. I bring You my hurried spirit and ask You to meet me with Your steady love. Teach me to walk in step with Your Spirit. Grow in me the patience that comes from trusting You, trusting Your timing, Your wisdom, and Your care for the people around me. In the moment I feel triggered, help me pause and breathe, to listen before I speak, and to respond with gentleness instead of frustration. Give me compassion for others’ weaknesses, and humility about my own. When delays come, remind me that You are still working; when people test me, remind me they are not my enemy; when I feel out of control, remind me that You are faithful. Make my life a place where peace can live, at home, at work, in traffic, in conversations, and in the unseen thoughts of my heart. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. 🙏🏻
