What a beautiful little experience I just had here in saint-Tropez @cafévore. My friend is a Fabulous chess champion and I have seen him beat people for 10,50 or 100€ knowing that he also will play people for 1000 or more.
Anyway, I’m sitting in his seat and people automatically assume that I am the champion so I hear them as they’re walking by oh no you don’t wanna play that guy, etc. Which really puts the whole idea a positioning into perspective.
Where do we want to sit at the table of life? How are we positioning ourselves? Is it possible to get some sort of psychological advantage? Is it may be good to know that we are projecting or stacking the odds on someone else, instead of starting at a completely neutral position. A fascinating thing that we could discuss at a café.
