He took action, wrote a script, gathered the financing, and just started filming today. Not only is he starring in and producing this film, but he’s been able to hire many of his friends along the way. You can wait for things to happen, or you can make them. You can go to bed and wake up hoping things will happen—and that other people will do it for you and bring you opportunities… Or you can get up and get out there and make it happen. A couple of weeks ago, I shared that I hadn’t heard from my LA agent in the past year and that I’d been letting fear hold me back from reaching out. Well, just like Master Chat suggested, I finally finished editing and updating my acting reel — and today I sent her an email! In the message, I gave her a rundown of what I’ve been up to over the past year and asked for her feedback on the reel. She responded right away and said she’d take a look and share any feedback! I had hoped to meet her in person while I’m in LA, but she let me know she’ll be working from home through the long weekend. I’m SO glad I pushed through the fear, reached out, and got back on her radar. If I hadn’t, I probably would’ve gone even more months without any contact or opportunities.
