For years working with children — as a teacher, Scout leader, and coach — I started to notice a clear shift. Kids were becoming more connected than ever… but also more disconnected than ever and less confident in the real world. Things like: - Talking to adults - Making new friends - Solving simple problems independently - Taking responsibility for everyday tasks Were becoming harder for many children than they should be. And at the same time, screens were naturally becoming a bigger part of daily life for every family. Not the problem on their own — but often replacing the real-world experiences kids need to grow. What I kept coming back to was this: Kids don’t build confidence from being told they can do things. They build it from actually doing things. Small moments matter: - Introducing themselves - Helping someone else - Trying something unfamiliar - Figuring things out without being rescued These are the moments that quietly build confident kids. I wanted to create something not to overload families with information, just small, practical real-world challenges that families can actually do together — and see real change from. Step by step, week by week, we can help kids build the confidence, independence and social skills they need for life beyond the screen.
