The Compassionate Pause
Today, let's practice something ridiculously small.
When you notice yourself criticizing, correcting, or rushing past yourself:
Pause.
One breath.
Then ask:
“What do I need from myself in this moment?”
Not:
“What should I do?”
“How do I fix this?”
“How do I make this go away?”
What do I need from myself?
Maybe the answer is reassurance.
Maybe it's honesty.
Maybe it's rest.
Maybe it's accountability.
Maybe it's simply, “Stop being such an asshole to yourself.”
Whatever comes up, let the answer be information—not another assignment. 🩵💜
If you try it, tell us what you notice.
