🫶 QUEENS! 🫶
You may have been wondering what was going on with me, and here is the reason: well, there is more than one ♥️ But with no apologies, sometimes life just happens😍
Not everybody knows that about me, but it is not a secret either, since I have been really open about my past. When I was 21, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and it was a crazy rollercoaster ride right after that. I had to have surgery; part of it was removed, but unfortunately, doctors weren't able to remove it all. It is attached and has grown into my eye muscle, so if they removed it, I would be blind, which obviously didn't even cross their minds back then, and I'm so grateful for that❤️
🫶 Well, since then, I have been living with a benign tumor in my brain. It gives me chills every time I think about it, but I've learned to live with it. Right after the first surgery, I had to go through one more, so I ended up having 2 surgeries in two weeks while in the hospital, and it was still a very traumatizing experience. Don't get me wrong, the hospital, the nurses, the doctors, everybody and everything was AMAZING, and I couldn't ask for better, but, in general, the feeling of not knowing if there is NO tomorrow for you changes your perspective on life.🫶
❤️ I have always been a very positive and smiley person, but at that moment everything changed for me, and I started enjoying life even more, as if it might end tomorrow! I had to learn how to walk, brush my teeth, and get dressed — all from the beginning...😵
🙃 From that moment, I also had to come in for regular check ups/appointments of my "friend" tumor that I will probably live with together forever. Some might say that these MRI appointments are probably sth I won't enjoy but will be looking forward to, to find out that everything is still okay. 😵
😵 Unfortunately, the opposite has been true for the past few years. My nervous system has been all over the place every time the date approaches. I certainly know that everything IS OKAY, as I usually have no symptoms, but the not knowing gets my nervous system every time...🫶
I'm not telling that to all of my queens because I don't want your pity, but I would love you to know that I haven't been very present recently, exactly for this reason❤️ I only wanted you to understand :)
BUT! THE MRI SCAN WENT WELL (I'm waiting for the results, but I don't believe that they would let me go home if they saw anything, so I'm positive about the result 🙃 🎉
WHICH ALSO MEANS THAT I'M BACK!!! We will be going to Vietnam next Tuesday, so I will be posting some travel English for you here ✈️ AND OF COURSE, I want to finish the challenge so we can draw the WINNER of the challenge!! Thanks to all the queens who participated❤️
