Good morning everyone, I wanted to ask everyone what you currently do for a living and how you got into your career. I’m in my early 30s, and lately, I’ve been thinking about transitioning into something different career-wise. I’ve been working as a Patient Documentation Specialist for a vascular surgeon since 2021, and while I appreciate the experience I’ve gained, I’m starting to explore what else might be out there for me. For those of you who have made career changes or are working in fields you love, I’d love to hear your experiences! Did you have to go back to school and earn another degree, or were you able to get into your field through certifications, training, or experience? What do you do, how did you get started, and what advice would you give to someone looking to make a career change in their 30s? I’m looking forward to hearing from you and learning about the different paths we’ve taken! I currently have a associates degree & a couple certifications ( health related)

There was a time when, if it wasn’t my weekend with my daughter, I was in go mode—traveling here, going there, barhopping, always finding something to do. I told myself I was just enjoying life, but I eventually realized I was trying to bypass healing and fill a void only God could. But God. I had an encounter with Him that changed my life. I learned that no matter where I went, I couldn’t outrun myself. Sometimes we have to be willing to listen when God says, “Slow down. Don’t do that. Trust Me.” It’s been about a year and a half since my last vacation, and this time, I’m looking forward to making memories with my daughter. Depending on the storm, our Fall Break trip may be postponed, but I’m choosing to be present in whatever this season holds. Despite the hardships and pain, I’m grateful God showed me the sunshine after the rain. There’s still purpose, growth, and work to do. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” — Romans 8:28 (NKJV) Give yourself grace on your journey. Be willing to slow down, listen to God’s direction, and trust that He is working even when things don’t go according to your plans. Make today a great one! 💜
