The Distraction Trap
This morning after dropping my daughter off at school, I thought, “I’ll just catch up on social media for five minutes.” Then I caught myself before logging on—because I know how easily five minutes can become an hour of scrolling.
That hour would have come at the expense of the quiet time I have to myself before the responsibilities of the day begin—time to rest, pray, meditate, and get into God’s Word.
It reminded me that distractions don’t always look harmful. Sometimes they simply offer us something less important in exchange for something more valuable.
Don’t trade what you value most for what has your attention right now.
Make today a great one! 💜
