🌿 Pop-Up Bible Conversation: Leaving the Familiar Without a Map
Ladies, I had planned for us to have this conversation together live, but sometimes things don't go exactly as expected. Even though we weren't able to have the interactive discussion portion today, I still wanted to share what was on my heart from my time in Scripture. Today, we looked at: 📖 Genesis 12:1-9 — Abram's call to leave what was familiar and follow God into the unknown. 📖 Hebrews 11:1-10 — How faith caused Abraham to obey even when he didn't know where he was going. Some of the questions we explored: ✨ If God told Abram to go to the land He would show him, and that land was Canaan, why didn't Abram simply stop there? Why did he continue traveling and later return? ✨ What does Hebrews 11:2 mean when it says the elders "obtained a good report" or were "commended"? ✨ How do Genesis 12 and Hebrews 11 show us the difference between what people see and what God sees? ✨ If your faith story was included in a "Hall of Faith," what moment would God highlight? One thing that stood out to me is this: Genesis shows us Abraham's journey. Hebrews shows us how God viewed that journey. Genesis shows us the mistakes, the uncertainty, and the detours. Hebrews reminds us that God remembered Abraham for his faith. As you watch, I encourage you to reflect: 💛 What "familiar place" might God be asking you to leave? 💛 Where is He asking you to trust Him without a full map? 💛 What chapter of faith is God writing in your story right now? I would love to hear your thoughts below. What stood out to you from this conversation? 🌿

🌿 A Gentle Friday Check-In
Hi, sisters. 💛 Life has been a little full on my end these past few days as I've been getting settled after my big move, but I'm so glad to be back checking in with you. So today, let's simply pause together. I'd love to hear from everyone. ✨ What's one word that describes your week? ✨ What's something you're grateful for today? ✨ Is there anything you'd like us to be praying with you about? And I'd love to know... 📖 Have you had a chance to begin working through our Learning to Trust God Bible Study guide? 💛 Yes, I've started. 🌿 Not yet, but I'm planning to. 📖 I just joined and can't wait! No matter where you are, you're welcome here. There is no pressure to have it all together or be "caught up." Just take your next faithful step. I'm praying this community continues to be a place where we can pause, encourage one another, and grow together in God's Word. I'm grateful you're here and have missed you all. 🤍
I'm building something special for you, but I need your help solving a puzzle 🧩
Hey Selah Collective family, I've been working on something quietly behind the scenes, and I need your raw, honest hearts before I take another step. This space belongs to all of us, and I want to make sure I am building exactly what serves your season right now. Selah Daily is a faith-based devotional and journaling app created specifically for Christian women. It is designed to help you show up consistently in your quiet time. It features a daily scripture, guided reflection prompts, a deliberate "Selah moment" practice, and a rewards system that actually gives you something back for staying committed to your faith walk. Here is where I need your help: I recently ran a very small, intimate beta test with 4 incredible women to test out the core features. The feedback on the devotionals and accountability streaks was deeply encouraging and positive, but I noticed something interesting. None of the testers really showed much interest in the visual features I designed, like the custom avatars or the virtual "Prayer Sanctuary" room you can decorate. Not necessarily disinterest, but they weren't utilized and didn't seem like an important feature. Because that beta group was so small, I don't know if that's how all of us feel, or if they were just an anomaly! I don't want to spend months building creative features that no one is actually going to use. I want to build this tool with you and for you. So, please give me your raw, unfiltered feedback by dropping your answers in the comments below using the numbers! 1. How do you currently spend time with God daily? (Pick one) - A. Bible app (YouVersion, etc.) - B. Physical Bible + a paper journal - C. Printed devotional book - D. Prayer and meditation only - E. Honestly, I am really struggling with consistency right now 2. What is the #1 thing that would make you open a faith app every single day? (Is it accountability, reminders, community, specific topics? Be as specific as you want!) 3. Which of these core features sounds most valuable to your personal walk?
Introductions & Welcome to The Selah Collective! Start Here 🕊️
Hi sisters. 💛 I’m so grateful you found your way here. I’m Tamara “TeeCee” Allison — host of The Selah Daily Podcast, founder of The Selah Collective & The Selah House, and a faith-based women’s mentor passionate about creating spaces where women can pause, breathe, reflect honestly, and reconnect with God and like-minded women in the middle of real life. This community was created for women navigating heavy seasons: emotional exhaustion, caregiving, grief, overwhelm, spiritual fatigue, difficult transitions, blurred boundaries, and the quiet weight many women carry behind the scenes. But more than anything, this is a space for women seeking peace in the chaos. 🌿 __________________________________________________________________________________________________ A little about me: My background includes ministry studies and certifications through Christian Leaders Institute and Christian Leaders Alliance in areas including: ✨ Women’s Ministry ✨ Life Coaching Ministry ✨ Christian Ministry ✨ Bible Study Leadership ✨ Prayer Ministry My professional background also includes mental health support work, peer recovery support, resilience coaching, and community health work. But beyond titles and credentials, I’m also simply: a wife, a mother of five, a MawMaw, and a woman who has walked through some very hard seasons and learned that God often meets us right in the middle of them. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ The word “Selah” is often understood in the Psalms as a sacred pause — to stop, to breathe, to reflect, and to rest in the presence of God. And that is exactly what this space was created to be. Not a place for perfection. Not a place to pretend. Not a place where you have to have everything figured out before showing up. Just a gentle, faith-centered space where women can: ✨ Be honest ✨ Feel seen, encouraged, and equipped ✨ Grow spiritually ✨ Heal gently ✨ Encourage one another ✨ Rediscover peace in God’s presence
