Share Your Event in Our Community!
Hey, awesome community members! I wanted to add a feature to our community so that members can share their book launch, event, or freebie (a checklist, mini-ebook, Skool community, or free online course) with other members. But, I don't want our community to be full of promotional posts, so this is how we're going to do this: @Paula Yap is my Admin, so make sure to DM her with your event. Your event or offer needs to have three pieces of information: 1. A two to three-sentence description of the event or offer so members understand what you're offering. If you send Paula an entire paragraph, it won't be posted! 2. The date of the event (if applicable) 3. ONE link to your event or offer - one place to send community members. An example post would look like this: Free event! I'm hosting a workshop on training your dog to stop barking at the mailman. This is a one-hour workshop via Zoom. Bring your dog, yourself, and a notebook. July 2nd, 2026 at 9am PST www.stopyourdarkfrombarking.com Paula will post our members' events and offers each Monday, so make sure to send over your information at least one week before your event date. Questions? Put them in the comments below!

Having fun with my grandog's picture
My daughter has a German Shepherd, Minnow, as her service dog. She is also my granddog! My daughter, Aliyah, took a picture of herself in front of an angel wing background. I took the image and created a wallpaper for my computer using Hedra. Here are the two images! The image on the left is now my computer wallpaper.

Astronomy buff?
My first encounter with falling in love with astronomy was at the age of six. Do you remember those book clubs in school? Scholastic used to send home that paper flyer with age-appropriate books, and you would fill out the paper order form, cut across the dotted line, then put the order, along with a check, into an envelope and give it to your teacher. Two weeks later, your books magically show up! I ordered a "Learning Astronomy" book in first grade. I read the entire book and wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up. I put a chocolate-bunny scratch-and-sniff sticker on the top-right corner. I still have that book! When I clean out my garage this summer, I'll post a picture. I had no idea that when I moved to Oregon, there would be so many astronomy opportunities! We have designated and certified dark skies, the Oregon Star Party, and other events. Most are in the western part of the state, where there's desert and dark skies - because you are definitely not going to see stars in detail under the light pollution of Portland! Here is the Oregon star guide. Check it out! I am very excited to go on a road trip to Eastern Oregon this August to see the Perseids! https://issuu.com/visitcentraloregon/docs/2025_2026_dark_sky_guide_
