Most relationship problems are not caused by a lack of love.
They are caused by a lack of government.
You don’t need more information about people.
You need more control over yourself.
Because the issue is not merely what others are doing…
it is how quickly, how often, and how carelessly we respond.
This is why Proverbs 29 presses into the heart of relationship wisdom:
“A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.” (Proverbs 29:11)
Most people call this honesty.
Scripture calls it folly.
To say everything you feel, when you feel it, how you feel it… is not maturity.
It is a lack of self-government.
Wisdom does not deny emotion.
Wisdom governs expression.
And this is where relationships are either strengthened… or strained.

Tonight we will open Proverbs 29 together and examine how wisdom orders our relationships:
- how we speak
- how we respond
- how we handle tension
- how we lead and love others
We will likely walk through Proverbs 29:11 together (time permitting), but the goal is not just one verse.
The goal is to understand how wisdom governs relationships across every area of life.
Come Prepared
Before the session:
- Read Proverbs 29 slowly
- Identify one verse that speaks to relationship wisdom
- Be ready to share it
And come with questions.
Not general thoughts. Not long explanations.

All things relationship.
