Welcome!
Hey everyone, welcome to Project 300! Communication was a big issue last time, so we made a central hub to talk, deliver info, etc. So much more to come! Feedback is welcome - we are new to this platform so yeah it’ll be a little clunky. But Jan 1 @Frank Sepe and we will be ready to rock.
300 Pull-ups DONE
My hands are destroyed since I did 180 reps yesterday and today but 300 reps DONE! Not gonna say that was fun - it wasn’t but I was determined to finish what I said I was gonna do! Had to do number 300 unassisted for a happy ending (even though that was hard AF). https://www.instagram.com/reel/DeXxCwqpiRA/?exln=MXBwdGNwM3VqZWxidg==

Intro
Hey y’all, I’m James (West Texas Slowpoke). I was in Round 1 and rocked most of it, then summer hit and I really let life get in the way and fell off the path hard. I’m starting with Foundation Block 2, and then plan to go into Performance from there. I’m looking for redemption, and by December 31 I want to have a solid routine down so I can flow right into the season! Loving this format for Round 2 and just excited to be here!
Apparently I’m just waking up… a week late
Okay so I am just now realizing that I never OFFICIALLY picked a program track. I initially picked Performance as my ultimate goal in 2027 is complete the Vernon Ultra in April then use that momentum to finally podium elite wave races. Hopefully many of them. But I have a couple of questions for anyone who can give insight. I have quite a bit of race experience. Completed ~55 races 2018-2019, then about 5 periodically since. Most are competitive waves. Many Trifectas. But never an Ultra. My endurance was always my weak point. No doubt I didn’t run enough. My Strong points were: strength, strength endurance, and HR recovery (not sure what its actually called but the ability to recover HR quickly after a heavy exertion such as obstacles, hills, etc). I’m sure this still stands. This past year (2026) my goal was gain 10 pounds of muscle. Which I did (then lost half 🤣). But haven’t truly run in about a year, maybe more. I’ve been heavily focused on muscle and muscle endurance. But I am not overly concerned as I think by body will readapt fairly quickly as it had in the past. Which leads me to my questions: Would the performance path be where I want to start? My aligns with who its for, but my endurance has always been lacking. Or would the Endurance path make more sense? Second question.. being as i am only realizing my lack of picking program now, can i start week 1 tomorrow? 🤣 A week late start wont be an issue going forward will it? Or would i need to start at week 2? And insight is appreciated.
