How to Track Your Progress and Level Up
Watch the video, then click "Mark as done" A lot of you are watching the lesson videos and moving on to the next lesson. That is great. But your progress bar is not moving and you are not leveling up. Here is why. Skool does not auto-complete lessons when you watch the video. You have to manually click the "Mark as done" button. Where is the button? Open any lesson in the Classroom. Above the video player, you will see a button that says "Mark as done". Click it after you finish watching the video and reading the lesson content. What happens when you click it? - Your course progress bar moves (0% to 25% per lesson depending on the course) - You earn points toward your level - When you earn enough points, you level up (Level 1 to Level 2, etc.) Why this matters Right now, most of you are stuck at Level 1 with 1 point. That is the join bonus. You have not earned any lesson-completion points because the "Mark as done" button has not been clicked. Level 2 unlocks posting in the community feed. Level 7 unlocks DMs with other members. Higher levels unlock more courses. None of that happens until you start marking lessons as done. Quick steps 1. Go to the Classroom 2. Open a course (start with Cybersecurity Foundations if you have not yet) 3. Watch the video and read the lesson 4. Click "Mark as done" above the video 5. Move to the next lesson and repeat That is it. One click per lesson. Do that for all four lessons in a course and you will see your progress bar hit 100% and your points jump. Questions? Drop them in the comments below.

Weekly Ritual Schedule — Your Rhythm for Success
Your Weekly Rhythm in Cyber Skool Every community needs a rhythm. Here is ours — four weekly rituals that keep you learning, sharing, and leveling up. Put these on your calendar. 📅 Monday — Monday Mission What: Goal-setting thread. Post one thing you are working on this week — a certification you are studying for, a lab you are building, a skill you are practicing, a job you are applying for. Why: Saying it out loud makes it real. And seeing what others are working on might spark an idea, a collaboration, or a friendly push. Where: Look for the pinned Monday Mission thread in the feed every Monday morning. 📅 Wednesday — Live Office Hours What: Live Q&A with Prof. Scotland. Drop your questions — cybersecurity, IT, AI, career transitions, certifications, anything. I answer in real-time, and the recording goes up in the Classroom afterward. Why: This is your chance to get direct help. Can't make it live? Post your question ahead of time and I will address it during the session. Where: Check the Calendar for the next session time. The session link will be posted in the feed Wednesday morning. 📅 Friday — Win Wall What: Every Friday, we celebrate wins. Big or small — post it here. Passed a certification exam? Finished a lab? Got an interview? Landed a job? Finally understood a concept that was confusing you? Helped a colleague with something you learned here? Why: Your wins are the community's wins. And your wins are our best marketing — real people, real progress. Share them. Where: Look for the pinned Friday Win Wall thread in the feed every Friday morning. Post your win as a comment. 📅 Monthly — Live Exercise What: Once a month, we run a live exercise. Pro tier members get a hands-on SOC simulation. Free and Beginner members get an AMA (Ask Me Anything) with Prof. Scotland. Why: Practical, hands-on practice is what separates people who know cybersecurity from people who DO cybersecurity. The monthly exercise is your chance to apply what you have learned in a realistic scenario.

Level System Guide — From Recruit to Mentor
How Levels Work in Cyber Skool Skool uses a 9-level progression system. As you participate, complete lessons, and help others, you earn points and level up. Here's what each level means in our community: Level 1 = Recruit (Free, auto on join) — Welcome module + orientation Level 2 = Explorer (Free) — Rest of Free Foundations, all 3 tracks. Unlocks posting to the feed. Level 3 = Prepared (Free) — Full free library + upgrade prompt Level 4 = Trainee (Beginner, on upgrade) — First Beginner modules, all 3 tracks Level 5 = Analyst (Beginner) — Mid Beginner content + mock interview library Level 6 = Operator (Beginner) — Full Beginner tier + resume rebuild sessions Level 7 = Specialist (Pro, on upgrade) — First Pro labs unlocked. Unlocks chat/DM with other members. Level 8 = Architect (Pro) — Advanced Pro modules + 1:1 mock interviews Level 9 = Mentor (Pro) — Full library + invited to help newer members. Look for the Mentor tag! How to Earn Points You earn points automatically by being active in the community: - Posting and commenting in the feed - Getting replies on your comments (signals your post was helpful) - Completing lessons and modules in the Classroom - Attending live sessions - Posting a "win" — job offer, cert passed, lab completed - Answering another member's question (the most valuable contribution!) The Core Rule Tier = what library you can access. Level = how much of that library is unlocked. Paying for a higher tier gets you into the room. Leveling up by participating is what moves you through it. That's what turns "paid and vanished" into "paid and actually stuck around." Introduce yourself in the feed to start earning points!
