Men, I want to open up a conversation that might make some of us uncomfortable, including me. Why do we hear so little about gluttony in the Church? We talk about lust, greed, pride, alcohol, pornography, and other areas where men need self-control…but what about our relationship with food? Food itself isn’t the enemy. God created food to nourish us and enjoy. But when food begins controlling us…when we continually overindulge, eat for comfort, lack self-control, or knowingly put things into our bodies that are destroying our health, we need to be willing to examine that. This isn’t about having abs or judging someone because of their weight. It’s about stewardship. God has given each of us a body, a family, a purpose, and a limited amount of time here. I want to have the energy to lead my family, serve others, pursue Christ, and fulfill what God has called me to do. And I believe how we care for our physical health is part of that responsibility. I made a video sharing my thoughts on this because I think it’s a conversation Christian men need to have. 👇 Watch it and then come back here and tell me what you think: https://youtube.com/shorts/AXTeY68U4fU?is=4Gd7lEtp46xI69Bs Why do you think gluttony and our relationship with food aren’t talked about more in the Church? No judgment. No attacking pastors or other Christians. Let’s have a real conversation and sharpen one another. Iron sharpens iron. 👊🏻⚔️✝️
