The Heaviest Thing on Your Funnel Is Invisible
I was helping someone in my mastermind with his challenge funnel recently.
It's crushing, especially in back end sales..
But his ad costs felt higher than they should’ve been, and performance was inconsistent.
So I gave him a free Funnel Pulse account to help reduce ad spend and see what was actually going on.
What we found was.. sneaky.
The funnel had several large images on the page.
Not insane on their own, but enough to slow things down.
Then we saw it.
A video preview image.
A big ole PNG.
Absolutely massive.
And of course..
No one knew.
Not him.
Not his team.
Not the designer who uploaded it.
It looked fine.
It loaded.. eventually.
So everyone assumed it was fine.
But that single asset was dragging down page speed hard
Which is super important.. Here' s why..
Google, Meta, and basically every major platform now factor page speed into how they treat your traffic.
Slow pages get penalized.
Higher CPMs.
Worse delivery.
Lower quality scores.
And none of that shows up as an error.
You just pay more and convert worse.
This is the part that gets people.
You can optimize copy.. tweak offers & headlines..
But if the page itself is slow, you’re pushing uphill without realizing it.
That’s why flying blind here is expensive.
Because without that data, you’re guessing.
And guessing gets real expensive when you’re running paid traffic.
The heaviest thing on your funnel is often the thing you can’t see.
