Introduction
My name is Linda, I am a retired nurse, a wife, mom, grandma mostly. I first knew about God and Jesus os a little girl of 3-4 when my grandmother taught me Bible stories out of her huge family Bible with all the family births, deaths and marriages. My relationship with Him was pretty rocky through my youth, teenage and young adult years. I didn't begin to really learn and accept Him until my 30s. Was baptized at 34. The first moment that had the biggest effect on me that it could only be God was in 2001 when I had a ruptured brain aneurysm. The surgeon said tha had it not been for a previous health crisis I would not have survived. There is more to this story but I won't go in to it unless someone wants to hear it later
The Real Deal behind christmas…
Is of course salvation in Christ. Are you saved already? Let us know in the comments what you believe?
How I found Jesus.
Hello. My name is Craig. Im 38 and I’m from a small town in NE Ohio and battled drug addiction for over 24 years off and on. But God. I am 11 months clean today by the grace of God. Got baptized last year before checking myself into an all men’s rehab and been clean ever since. Currently Working as a peer recovery support in training and also training to be the house manager of the men’s recovery house that I currently reside in. Got my license back after 17 years of being lazy to take care of my responsibilities and priorities. I give all the glory to God because ive tried doing it on my own and as some of you may know, It is nearly impossible to stay on the straight and narrow path without Jesus. I went from a hopeless dope fiend to a dopeless hope fiend!!. Hallelujah. I gave Jesus my yes and Amen and my life has changed forever for the better. Still have trials and tribulations i overcome daily and have hurts, hang ups and habits, but with my solid foundation in faith, a few wonderful sober support friends, faith based recovery meetings, church and my family, anything is possible through Christ who strengthens me. Have a blessed day/week! Much love. -Craig ✝️🙏😎
A Simple Reframe For Hard "Fruitless" Moments
I gave @Kenneth Harley 's struggle about the fruit of the spirit some thought and rather than some lengthy article, I'd rather give out something actionable: A tool like a mental net so that we can begin to take more of our thoughts captive as we walk along the path and strive for the straight and narrow. When life starts to feel heavy, try this. Instead of asking: “Why is this happening to me?” Ask: “What is God growing in me through this?" Let Frustration Become Formation. Let Resistance Become Purpose.
Introductions & Inquiries
Hello, everyone! Finally got around to writing this, I've been looking forward to meeting you. I'm Erik, born and raised in NE Ohio for 26 years so far. I've worn quite a few hats over the years but I consider myself a writer and problem solver above all else. Given that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, I've found that writing about and with Him has solved every problem I've given Him. I hope to help who I can in this community and learn together on our walk with the Lord. All that being said, what are you struggling with at the moment?
