Today really brought this lesson to life for me. As I was reading Matthew 26:57–75, what stood out was how truth doesn’t always have to defend itself—sometimes it stands still while falsehood speaks loudly. Jesus didn’t react or try to prove Himself in that moment, and that spoke deeply to me.
It reminded me of a time when someone said something about me that wasn’t true. The old me would have immediately jumped up to defend myself, to make sure my voice was heard. But this time was different. I chose to be still, not to react, and to continue to love that person anyway.
That wasn’t easy—but that’s where humility showed up—not needing to prove myself, not needing to correct everything, but trusting God with the truth.
What I’m learning is that humility isn’t weakness—it’s strength under control. It’s choosing God’s way over my own reaction.
And today, that’s where I chose humility over pride.
