The Bible is not just a book to admire. It is a book to believe, read, and apply.
God's Word is filled with promises of healing, freedom, peace, wisdom, and deliverance for those who trust Him and put His Word into practice. The promises of God are not empty words. They reveal His heart and His faithfulness.
One thing I have noticed is that many people who say they are Christians have never read the Bible all the way through, or they rarely spend time in it. Then, when someone shares what Christ Jesus has redeemed them from or how God has healed or delivered them, they are often the first to say, "You think you know it all," or "You don't know what you're talking about," or "That doesn't happen today."
Instead of searching the Scriptures for themselves, they dismiss what God is doing without first examining the facts.
The Bereans were commended because they searched the Scriptures daily to see whether what they were hearing was true. We should do the same. Don't reject God's promises because of someone else's opinion or because of past experiences. Let the Word of God be your final authority.
Read it.
Believe it.
