Coffee Hebrews
I was listening to Curry Blake talking about dominion in Christ and our authority as believers, when out of nowhere, I started smelling a cup of freshly brewed coffee. I thought, "Man, that smells good." I was wondering why I suddenly smelled coffee, especially since I wasn’t passing any coffee houses. Then, Hebrews 3:14 came to my heart: *"We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end."* When I got to work, I looked it up. I’m going to take this more to the Holy Spirit, but here’s what I learned about that scripture.
This verse encourages believers to remain steadfast in their faith and relationship with Christ. The writer of Hebrews is emphasizing the importance of perseverance in the Christian life. By holding firm to the faith we had at the beginning of our walk with Christ, we continue to take part in the blessings of being united with Him.
It's a reminder that salvation is not just about a one-time confession but about continuing in that faith and trusting in Christ throughout our lives. It aligns with the idea of enduring faithfulness, where believers are encouraged to stay strong, no matter the trials, knowing that our reward is in Jesus.
