is this An aikido Technique to you??
“Is this true to Aikido principles?” This video shows:
my form of Aikido as a method of decision-making under pressure, not Aikido as a performance art.
In Tomiki Aikido, pressure is not something to avoid. It is information.
This kind of practice aligns with:
  • Competition as feedback, not identity
  • Budo over ego
  • Practical Tomiki methodology
The goal is not to look good or dominate an opponent. The goal is to maintain distance as long as necessary, preserve balance, and act with responsibility—making clear decisions in real time based on what is actually offered.
When movement tightens under pressure, technique reveals itself. What you practice is what appears. When budo is practiced with an emphasis on balance and understanding, pressure becomes a teacher.
That feedback is what allows growth.
This is not Aikido for display. This is Aikido for practice—preparation to make decisions when needed, with a clear mind and a clear conscience.

Tomiki Aikido practice focused on calm control under pressure. Competition as feedback, responsibility over ego, budo in action.
