Today we honor the nurses who gave their lives in service to our nation, and the countless caregivers who continue to give of themselves every day for America, for freedom, for liberation, and for truth.

Nurses have stood beside soldiers in war zones, comforted the wounded in moments of fear, and carried hope through pandemics, disasters, and heartbreak. Their courage rarely arrives with applause. It arrives quietly, in steady hands, sleepless nights, and hearts that choose compassion again and again.

May we remember the fallen.

May we protect the living.

May we never take sacrifice lightly.

To every nurse who has served this country in uniform or in spirit:

your care is a form of patriotism. Your humanity is a beacon.
