Hey there! 🌼
Thanks for welcoming me on this platform. I am Mary, 22 years old and from Germany. After dropping out of uni I was seeking a more hands on profession. I’ve always been crafty and my interest in ceramics goes a long way back. So I asked myself: why don’t just start doing it yourself! When I came to Australia my budget was very limited and as we all know pottery isn’t the cheapest hobby there is. So I started working in a pottery with a very generous and knowledgeable boss. Yes that’s right. I hit the bulls eye. Five days a week I was covered in clay from 7am until 5pm. I was like a sponge, soaking up all the knowledge that was thrown at me. I fell in love with wheel throwing, recycling, glazing, kiln tech…. the list goes on. There’s just so much to learn around pottery! And so much knowledge to share ☺️ How did your pottery journey start? Share some stories and pictures if you feel like 🌼💖 Here are some pictures of my proudest pieces.
