I was just inspired by a YouTube video by Dr Mindy Pelz I watched, and it made me decide to do a three-day water fast starting now, at the beginning of the week.
Over the past days, I’ve honestly still been eating a lot of leftovers from Christmas and New Year’s Eve. There’s still plenty left 😅 — but right now I really feel the desire to reset my body and give it the chance to rest and heal a little. 🧘🏼♀️
One of the reasons I’m drawn to water fasting is autophagy. During fasting, the body starts a natural “clean-up” process where old or damaged cells are broken down and recycled. This process supports cellular renewal and helps the body focus on repair rather than constant digestion. I really like the idea of giving my system some space to do what it’s designed to do.🙌
For me, three days of water fasting feels like a gentle but effective reset and a meaningful way to start the year with more awareness and intention.
I’m curious:
Have any of you done water fasting before?
What were your experiences — physically or mentally? 🤯
Or is this something you’d never do?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts 🤍
