Potential scammer need advice
Hey everyone, I need advice on how to proceed.
About a month ago I sent a high-value card to a card restoration/repair person who appeared reputable (lots of high-end examples posted, formal process, DocuSign agreement, etc.). He received it, but for the past couple weeks he has repeatedly said “shipping today” and then goes long periods without replying. I still don’t have tracking or a firm return date.
What would you do at this point?
  • Give a 72-hour deadline for front/back timestamped pics + tracking?
  • Escalate through payment dispute/chargeback (if applicable)?
  • Demand letter / small claims?
  • Anything specific that’s worked in the hobby to get a card returned quickly?
Appreciate any guidance. I’m trying to be fair, but I also need to protect myself.
