Today is the day...
So, I had this crazy idea to create a space for expressing life using poetry. Why? Life is for living, so let's live. What's your favourite quote and how has it helped you to write?
Comfort Zone.
Today, I am reflecting on a poem I wrote nearly 10 years ago that was outside my comfort zone of expressing deep feelings. Here's a line from it: Burning up with the fire of hate. Unable to tell anyone of my pain. What have you written that felt outside your comfort zone?
Gratitude
Gratitude is free, but expensive if you can't see, everything and more. Without gratitude you are poor. The deficit that you will owe. Non-gratitude will let you know. Time and tide will ebb and flow. Gratitude makes no demands, no ultimatum, no sideways glance. Gratitude is it's own reward that cuts through life, with the precision of a double edged sword. Gratitude makes all things bright. Covering darkness with light, Illuminating the heart. Gratitude fills it and heals what's been torn apart. Gratitude brings into life, one that is complete and rife. Gratitude will overcome strife, change the mind and out things right. Gratitude bills the superpower of fortitude in every hour. To build that strength and shape the tone. Gratitude is the attitude to atone.
