Pro Tip Before the Rains Hit š§ļø
If you want your exterior paint jobs to actually last, you canāt skip the prep work. Before that first drop of Oregon rain shows up, hereās the order that matters:
1. Caulking ā Seal up all those joints, gaps, and seams where water loves to sneak in.
2. Wood filler ā Patch holes, cracks, and damaged trim so youāve got a smooth surface.
3. Sanding ā Level everything out so primer and paint can actually stick.
4. Primer ā Lock it all in and give your paint something to grip.
5. Paint ā The final protective coat that keeps your home looking sharp and safe from the elements.
