Character art
Something that I see a lot of these days, is beautiful character art to advertise their stories. This feels very foreign to me, I've personally always hated when there is artwork of characters on a book cover because it's never like I imagine. But artwork to sell is another thing entirely.
But that's just me, so what are your feelings on it? Do you feel commissioning art helps you? Do you enjoy it? Do you like detailed character art on book covers?
