Quick Update: Why You're Seeing More Login Gates
I still see questions about this in the community, so wanted to address it directly.
Login gates are becoming increasingly common in the research space. You might be asking why—and the answer is 100% compliance with credit card processors.
I've seen this implemented two ways:
- GLPs and specific products behind a login gate
- The entire website requiring an account
I know it's frustrating to create 20 different accounts just to check if a vendor even has what you're looking for.
