PSA: TSA Will Test Your Buc-ee's Seasoning for Purity But Not Your Peptides
On a lighter note this morning, I wanted to share a funny TSA story with you guys.
Yesterday I went through security at DFW and my carry-on got flagged by TSA. Meanwhile, my backpack went through without a second glance.
Keep in mind what's in that backpack: a peptide pen, insulin syringes, and reconstituted peptides.
So when they pulled my bag I'm standing there thinking… "wait, what are they flagging?" Visions of explaining research peptides to a confused TSA agent are flashing through my head.
Turns out? I bought a special seasoning at Buc-ee's. They had to open it up and test it.
On the positive side, I guess it passed for purity? Not sure about endotoxins or sterility though 😂
Moral of the story: TSA does not care about your peptides. Buc-ee's seasoning on the other hand? Suspicious.
