Good morning everyone and happy Super Bowl Sunday!
Here's a quick tip for anybody researching out there who wants to stick to their diet while still enjoying some food with friends and family today.
Even with a GLP-1, you can still have cravings β and you can still enjoy the things you love in moderation. What I always recommend is front-loading your protein for the day.
What does that mean? Try to get in around 75% of your daily protein intake β or at least a good chunk of it β before your Super Bowl party or whatever event you're heading to.
Here's why this works: Protein is the most satiating macronutrient. When you consume protein, it triggers the release of satiety hormones like PYY (peptide YY) and GLP-1 while simultaneously suppressing ghrelin, your hunger hormone. Protein also has the highest thermic effect of food, meaning your body burns more energy just digesting it compared to carbs or fats. By front-loading your protein earlier in the day, you're essentially priming your body's fullness signals before you even walk through the door. You'll show up feeling satisfied, not starving β which means you're far less likely to go overboard on the wings, chips, and dip.
Then you can still enjoy those foods you love β the carbs, the fats, all of it β without feeling guilty about it.
Remember, life is all about enjoying those little moments. Don't take away from that. Just don't overdo it.
Drop below and let me know β who are you rooting for today? π
Hope everybody has an amazing Sunday! π
