Adipotide, also known as FTPP, is an experimental weight loss treatment that kills fat cells by targeting the blood supply of those cells. It was put through phase 1 clinical trials back in 2011. Without a blood supply the fat cells died which resulted in rapid weight loss and improved insulin resistance in monkeys. It's worth noting the clinical trial was performed on monkeys.
I'm finding myself very intrigued by peptides that have shown notable weight loss in clinical trials besides the GLP meds. I am wondering why dealing in the world of peptides we only use GLPs for wight loss? Maybe this will be a brand-new research protocol starting in 2026 for me. Ditch the GLP and utilize the other options to see what happens.
Until then, any input would be appreciated.
