🧬💉How to Reconstitute AOD-9604 💉🧬
In this video, I break down the simple, step-by-step process for reconstituting AOD-9604 peptide powder for research use.
Whether you’re new to peptides or just need a refresher, I’ll cover the essentials to ensure proper mixing without damaging the compound or causing gelling. Remember, this is for informational purposes only—always consult a healthcare professional or follow manufacturer guidelines for any therapeutic applications.
What You’ll Need:
• AOD-9604 vial (e.g., 5mg lyophilized powder)
• 0.5mL acetic acid (AA) for initial dissolution
• 1.5mL bacteriostatic water (BAC) for dilution
• 2 Sterile syringes (3mL) and needles for drawing
• Alcohol swabs for sterilization
• Clean, sterile environment
Step-by-Step Reconstitution Guide:
1 Prepare Your Workspace: Work in a clean area. Wipe down surfaces and wash your hands thoroughly.
2 Sterilize Vial Tops: Use an alcohol swab to clean the rubber stopper on the AOD-9604 vial, the acetic acid vial, and the bacteriostatic water vial.
3 Dissolve with Acetic Acid: Draw 0.5mL of acetic acid into a sterile syringe. Insert the needle into the AOD-9604 vial at an angle and slowly inject the AA along the side to dissolve the powder without foaming.
4 Gently Mix: Remove the needle and gently swirl or roll the vial until the powder is fully dissolved. This helps prevent gelling issues common with AOD-9604.
5 Dilute with Bacteriostatic Water: Draw 1.5mL of bacteriostatic water. Slowly inject it into the vial along the side, again avoiding foaming.
6 Final Mix: Gently swirl until fully combined. Total volume: 2mL for a ~2.5 mg/mL concentration (adjust calculations if your vial size differs).
7 Inspect and Store: Check for clarity (the solution should be clear and particle-free—no gel). Refrigerate the reconstituted vial and use within the recommended timeframe (typically 30-45 days for BAC mixes).
Typical Dosing Notes (For Reference Only):
• Standard research dose: 300–500 mcg once daily, injected subcutaneously.
• Using a U-100 insulin syringe: For 2.5 mg/mL concentration (5mg in 2mL), 300 mcg = 12 units (0.12mL); 500 mcg = 20 units (0.2mL).
Safety First: Avoid contamination, use fresh needles, and discard if cloudy or gelled. This isn’t medical advice—research responsibly!
