Hi everyone — new here and wanted to introduce myself.
I'm 56, and I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I've been on and off HRT for years, and honestly, it never did anything for me. Then in 2019, I had an injury, and between that and menopause, I gained 60 pounds. Nothing touched it.
I finally tried the GLP-1 route. Semaglutide first — two months, and I felt HORRIBLE. Switched to tirzepatide for three more months. Not as bad, but still bad.
Five months on GLP-1s and I had gained two pounds. I gave up. I figured peptides just weren't for me, and that I'd spent thousands on weight loss over the years for nothing.
Here's the part that really got me: after I recovered from my injury, I signed up for an Ironman this coming October. I have been training since October 2025 — consistently, seriously — and lost 0.0 pounds. Zero. Training for an Ironman, and the scale would not move.
Then a friend told me about retatrutide. I started reading other people's results and I was amazed. I thought — What the heck. What do I have left to lose?
I'm down 14 pounds and still losing. But the biggest difference isn't the scale — it's that I FEEL GREAT. After feeling so awful on the other two, that's everything.
I LOVE Reta. It has been like MAGIC for me, and I'm so thankful I found it.
This is just my experience — everyone's body is different, and what worked for me may not work for you. But I wanted to share it in case someone else out there had written peptides off as I had.
Excited to learn from all of you.
