Eid Al‑Adha Poem: Sacrifice, Obedience & Ambition

In your Eid of Sacrifice, truth shines on heights so grand,
The highest meanings, built by wisdom’s ancient hand.
When Ibrahim heard the Call, he answered and obeyed,
His heart to God alone, in pure submission laid.
He walked with steps of strength, beyond all worldly aim,
No weakness held him back, no doubt could ever claim.
He gave what he loved most, to Him Who gave him breath,
The noblest one who gives, who offers life and death.
This is the sacrifice, the lesson pure and deep:
True greatness bows to God, His laws alone to keep.
Ambition in the heart stands firm like mountains high,
Unshaken by the storms, beneath the open sky.
Obedience is the light that lights the path we tread,
To strive for God is wealth, the highest worth and bread.
So every year may you in highest honour live,
Your status ever rise, your destiny to give.

في عيدِ أضحاكَ تَجلى السرُّ في القِمَمِ
أسمى المعاني وأرقى ما بَنى القِدَمُ
إبراهيمُ حينَ دَعاهُ الحقُّ مُمتَثِلاً
للهِ أطاعَ، وللهِ القلبُ مُلتَزِمُ
سارَ يَخطو بخُطى العزِّ التي سَبَقَتْ
كلَّ المطامحِ، لا وهنٌ ولا نَدَمُ
قدَّمَ الغالي فداءً للذي أَمَرَهُ
فكانَ أكرمَ من يُعطِي ومن يَهِبُ
هذي هي التضحيةُ الكبرى التي عَلَّمَتْ
أنَّ العظيمَ لِربِّ العرشِ يَنصَهِرُ
والعزيمةُ في القلبِ الكبيرِ تَبقى
كالجبلِ الشامخِ لا يَخشاهُ مُصطَدِمُ
إنَّ الطاعةَ نورٌ يَملأُ الطُّرُقَ
والسعيُ للهِ خيرُ زادٍ يُقتَنى الكَرَمُ
فكلُّ عامٍ وأنتم في عُلا شَرَفٍ
تَسمو المراتبُ، والأقدارُ تَرتَسِمُ
