It was nothing short of a great time (impending pun intended).
Thru 17 holes, we didn't even think to look at the leaderboard. We were locked in just having a great time with our group.
Since we had two groups ahead of us as we waited to hit our tee shots on the final hole, I tempted fate and asked Ian if he wanted to get a sweat going and check the leaderboard.
At first, it said we were #6...
But then the page refreshed and we were in 3rd place and 2 back from the lead (-9) at -7.
With a birdie (net eagle), we would tie for the lead.
I had 23 feet for birdie...
I prayed that whatever God's Will for the putt was would happen...and that I would be content regardless of the result.
The strike was pure and it was rolling end over end...
In the heart...
And stopped 1 inch away from the hole.
According to my prayer, I had no negative reaction to it not going in, just a smile and hugs/handshakes for my playing partners.
Thank you , it was truly an honor to be invited and a pleasure to be on the same team and straight vibin' for 5.5+ hours.
P.S. This was definitely an inspiration to have an event for us here in this group later this year. Who else is interested???
