Hi everyone, welcome to Monday Reset.
This week, we’re focusing on decreasing how much you repeat yourself.
I’m going to walk you through this step by step… but just a reminder, this isn’t an overnight fix.
All the posts this week will build on each other.
Today is about the mindset shift.
*From* : “Why does my child not listen to me?!”
*to*:
“How can I help my child hear me the first time?”
“What is making it hard for my child to respond right now?”
“What is needed from me right now?”
“What am I doing after I say it?”
Sit with these because there is NO point to stratgies until you (and I ;) have the information of what is going on. And this is where everything starts to change.
So with these questions in mind, I want you to tell me below:
👉 Where do you think it’s breaking down right now?
No judgement here :)
***And a quick reminder of the 3 core rules for setting your child up to listen:
1/ Be close enough so they can actually hear you
2/ Give one clear instruction, not multiple
3/ Make sure it’s reasonable for their age and state
Ask anything below. Let’s keep the momentum rolling… and I’ll see you all on Wednesday for our monthly call!
PS Use the chat box to ask me any questions that you want me to cover on the call!
