Fastest BPM in EDM?
You all know I am am hopelessly unschooled in most of the genres we work on here so I have a question: what genre has the fastest "standard" BPM? What is the highest BPM of any actually listenable song you know of? Same questions for slowest? I know different genres are associated with specific BPMs. Is this a guideline? Or pretty strict so the DJs can keep the beat steady? What about double or half time sections? Or speeding up or slowing down, maybe leading to a drop, but getting back to the prescribed BPM before the song ends? Would it be worthwhile to compile a list of genres and BPMs? Or has that already been done a million times? Use examples plz!
