“And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” (Matthew 21:22)
This verse doesn’t invite me to treat prayer like a wish list. It calls me to trust the One I’m praying to. Faith is not confidence in my request; it’s confidence in God’s heart. When I come to Him believing He is good, wise, and able, my prayers stop being desperate demands and become surrendered hopes.
Sometimes God answers exactly as I ask. Other times, he answers in ways I didn’t expect but desperately needed. Either way, faith reminds me that nothing I bring before him is wasted. Every prayer is heard. Every tear is seen. Every request is held by a Father who knows what will truly bring life.
So today, I will pray boldly, but I will trust even more deeply. I will ask with open hands, believing that God’s answer, whatever it is, will be better than my own.
