I’ve been experimenting with different ways to make music — rhythm first, then layering guitars, keys, and sometimes using AI tools to explore new sounds. One of the tracks I just finished started with drums on an oak kit and a pine snare. When I saved the session I randomly hit 4444, so that became the name of the track. Later I looked up the meaning of the number 4 in the Bible. It represents our fourfold nature — physical, spiritual, intellectual, and emotional. That actually feels a lot like music to me. Rhythm hits the body. Melody touches emotion. Structure engages the mind. And sometimes music can even feel spiritual. Funny how a simple rhythm experiment can turn into something deeper than you planned. If anyone wants to hear what 4444 turned into, I’ll share the track in the comments. The last 6 months I’ve been deep in the shop and deep in creativity. Built over 25 snare drums and somehow ended up making 3 albums along the way. Been experimenting with different ways to make music, exploring rhythm, AI tools, and even meditation through sound. Sometimes you have to step back from posting and just create. More to come soon.
