Thank you all for being part of this group. I'm shutting it down, and focusing on beginner drummers who have started their own drumming journey and are feeling stuck with their playing. This will be over at... https://www.skool.com/confident-beginner-drummer-1898 If I don't get to see you there, I wish you luck with your drumming into the future :)
Tomorrow I will be running the (weekly) drum diagnostic. You just jump on the call, and any questions will be answered. Or you can just ask me to watch your playing or a video of your playing, and we will work on a practice plan for you for the next week. Hope every one is loving their drumming. See you there.
If we really want lifelong skills to be able to learn whatever we want on the drums and be able to refresh our memory of old ideas and even to access all the amazing books that are around learning to read music could be the highest leverage skill you could ever learn on the drums. I'm dropping the new mini course read tonight in the classroom and I can't wait to see the results you guys get.
This concept of space first give you the BEST understanding of rhythm - learn the READ basic rhythm by the end of this video Let me know what questions this video leaves you with?
If you could snap your fingers and have any drumming skill immediately, what would that skill be? I think right now, I want to be better at playing Gospel Chop style fills. Let me know yours 🙌
