HOW TO FIND ANYTHING IN THIS COMMUNITY (Repin after event)
Skool has a search bar at the top of every page. It searches three places at once: Discussions, Classroom, and Members. Most people never use it. Here's how to make it work for you. Watch this (3 min): [How to Search Posts in Skool — 2026 Full Guide] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdl9hQJxjJw What each tab actually gives you: - Discussion tab — every post and comment mentioning your search term. Best for finding past conversations, trip Q&A, or what someone said about a place. - Classroom tab — course content and trip pages mentioning that term. Best for finding the actual built-out trip info, not just chatter about it. - Members tab — yes, this searches members, including by city. Type a city name and you'll find members near you. If you're hoping to find a local travel buddy, this is how. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Search terms to try right now (current trips): - "New Orleans" — everything tied to the NOLA trip - "Santa Fe" — Santa Fe planning and updates - "National Parks" — last night's planning session and what comes next Search terms you might want to try: - "Roommate matching" — how we pair solo travelers so nobody pays the solo supplement alone - "Deposit" — how deposits work, what's refundable, what locks your spot - "Solo travel" — conversations from people who've been exactly where you are right now - Your city name — find members near you Search terms we'll be using soon: - "Passport" - "Travel insurance" - "[Next trip name, once named]" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Try one search today. Comment below with what you searched and what you found — curious what surprises people. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

🧭 The Trip Ideas Lab — Where Our Next Trips Get Born
This is the one place in OSAT where every future trip idea lives — yours, mine, all of it, in one ongoing conversation. 🔔 Quick thing first: hit the bell on this post. That way you'll know the second someone drops a new destination or replies to yours — you don't have to keep checking back, and you'll actually see who else is dreaming about the same places you are. Here's how it works: You drop a destination you've been quietly dreaming about (or one you've already done and think the group would love), and we talk it through together. - No pressure - No commitment - No "sign up now" - No need to write a novel — one line is plenty Just: where do you want to go, and why haven't you booked it yet? The trips I end up building — New Orleans, Santa Fe, whatever comes next — all start exactly here, as a conversation in the comments before they're ever a real itinerary. If enough of us keep talking about the same place, that's usually the first sign it's worth building for real. So tell me: - What's a destination you keep coming back to in your head? - What's stopping you from booking it solo? (Cost, nervousness, no one to go with — all fair.) - Seen a destination someone else mentioned that you'd jump on too? Say so in the replies — that matters as much as a brand-new idea. Drop in for thirty seconds or stick around and reply to a few people — either one moves this forward. I read every comment here. This thread doesn't go stale — drop an idea today, next month, whenever it crosses your mind. 👇
Honest question for this room specifically.
Has anyone ever brought up a trip idea with a friend, family member, or even a travel agent — and before you could get two sentences in, they started trying to figure out who you'd bring with you? Like the idea itself was fine, but the solo part was the problem that needed solving first. I've heard this enough times now that I wanted to ask directly. Because for a lot of people, it's not that they're scared to travel solo. It's that they've been talked out of even thinking about it before they got a chance to try. If this has happened to you — even once — drop a 👋 below. Doesn't have to be a long story. Just want to know if this is one person's experience or something a lot of us have run into.
