There are many reasons why cameras scare even the most seasoned presenters, stirring up primal, uncanny, dark, uncomfortable emotions.
But the main reason this happens is generally not known.
So, in a traditional situation you can see audience reactions.
Not so with a camera, which is totally inanimate.
Similar to the death stare of a hungry beast moments before it figures out how its going to devour you!
And there is the reason.
Presenting to camera is one of those rare occasions where your primal instinct to run like hell is conjured up the very moment you first make eye contact with it!
This made a lot of sense when I first discovered it, but how do you overcome it?
