Despite the Trump - Putin meeting in Alaska the frontlines move forwards Kiev. New goal is Korovi Yar, and Lozove.
Lozove is the more interesting one here, as it is very close to the Harkiv - Donetsk county border - Russians are keen to occupy whole Donetsk before the key peace talks, as in this case the county do not have to be divided between the new Ukraine and Russia AND they will have more leverage.
However JS Vance in this interview with NBC talks multiple times about that sanctions are not off the table, it is clearly a power demonstration only towards the US voters - as the Russians are proved themselves of not to be afraid of sanctions at all, the dialect of Sergei Lavrov Russian FM strengthens this in his latest communique about their requirement related to Ukraine: no NATO membership.
At this point of time territorial division of Ukraine seems close.
