Dancing Through Death
Lately, I’ve been drawn to the Death card in the Thoth deck. It feels spectacular. Not in a dramatic sense, but in the way it invites full participation. This isn’t the typical still, hooded figure. This Death is in motion, bending, swinging, cutting. It’s alive with color and effort. It got me thinking about the difference between comfort and greatness. Greatness requires a relationship with death. Not just endings, but real transformation. A willingness to lose, to fail, to release what no longer fits. To move with it, not fight it. There’s something almost joyful about that kind of surrender. The figures in the background don’t look frozen or afraid. They’re moving, flowing, maybe even dancing. There’s rhythm in the letting go. So, the question I’ve been sitting with is this: Do I want to be great, or do I want to be comfortable? Because one of those paths demands change. What card is sitting with you right now? What’s showing up in your pulls, your life, or your patterns? Doesn’t need to be deep. Just honest.
