This is also my second attempt at posting it which is interesting…
Lord,
Thank You for the people You’ve placed in my life.
I bless them — without resenting them.
I honor them — without surrendering discernment.
Today, I ask You to retrain my ears.
Teach me the difference between love and alignment.
Show me whose voices sharpen me — and which ones quietly pull me off course.
Reveal where familiarity has replaced wisdom.
Forgive me for giving weight to opinions You never assigned authority to.
Forgive me for confusing comfort with confirmation.
Forgive me for second-guessing what You already made clear.
Help me listen without absorbing confusion.
Help me stay soft without becoming impressionable.
Anchor my ears to truth.
Guard my heart from noise.
Quiet every voice that competes with Yours.
Train me to pause before reacting.
Train me to seek You before seeking agreement.
Train me to trust the peace You give — even when others don’t understand it.
I release the pressure to explain myself to everyone.
I release the need for validation to feel secure.
I release the habit of rehearsing opinions instead of rehearsing truth.
I choose counsel that builds, not comfort that stalls.
I choose wisdom that produces fruit, not familiarity that produces doubt.
In Jesus’ name,amen.
