“Changing the world by reclaiming the words” - Series

Hey loves,

I’m launching a new series called “Reclaiming the Words.”

The idea came to me while traveling through Aotearoa (known to many as New Zealand), where I fell in love with te reo Māori, one of the world’s oldest languages.

Te reo taught me that words could be wider than just “a definition”, they are concept, frequency, spells…

And none of them are perceived as negative or bad. There is no dualistic trap of right/wrong, holy/dirty, sacred/shameful.

💡 The Mission

This series is not here to trash the old dictionary book or shame anyone’s past use.

It’s here to add nuance. To soften polarity. To offer new perspectives. Which for me is one of the key element lacking in our society today. Many see the world in black and white, right and wrong, good and bad…

We throw words like weapons, twisting sacred concepts into cages.

Specially as public speakers, we know that words shape reality.

So let’s bring some colours into it, shall we :)

To give you an example of the process, let’s look at the word “manipulation”:

It has a strong connotation today. Most people hear it and think: toxic, evil, Hitler's vibes.

But that’s only the shadow side of that word.

What about Nelson Mandela? Elton John? Or maybe the Master of them all, what about Jesus?

And if we bring it closer to us all in this community, what about our dear coaches,

But what if “Manipulation”, in its essence, is the art of influence.

The ability to move, inspire, or redirect energy.

Manipulation is innate to human nature, our ability to manipulate is directly linked to our power of attractiveness. On a more spiritual terms, we would call it “auric field”.

So what if manipulation meant that you’re grounded in your truth, and by doing so, you’re able to express your ideas clearly which makes the person if front of you with no other choice then surrender to the fact that, there is some wisdom into that story.

From that perspective, we’re not shaming ourselves for using one of our greatest gift, we’re putting it in service of something bigger then ourselves : a value, a message, a calling…

Let’s stop shaming our power and start owning it with integrity.

Now I feel it’s time to bring Marvel’s wisdom in the game : “With great power comes great responsibility”.

What we do with this manipulative ability is completely up to each and every one of us. The way we’ll impact others is deeply rooted in our personal journeys and the way we work on our own shadows in order to be able to hold that strength without abusing ourselves or others. My believe is that most of us who’ve been manipulated, or abused, we were burning so bright, Nature’s law of attraction within us was so intense but mixed with an unawareness of that light, it drew in people who couldn’t resist, even if it meant crossing boundaries to get close.

We weren’t weak. We were powerful but untrained.

For me it’s all about bringing awareness and nuances : Yes, we are manipulative. And that’s ok. Actually, more than ok, it’s AWESOME.

I want to co-create this series with real voices from around the world. Create a diverse auditory field for the followers.

I’ll create the visuals (you can sneak a peek at the link), but I’d love to overlay them with your voice.

Each post will be one word, once a week, for a year.
