Remember I AM
REMEMBER I AM.
Somewhere along the way, we became so busy learning how to live that we forgot to actually be alive.
We wake up to alarms.
Rush to school. Rush to work. Rush to appointments. Check the clock. Check the phone. Answer the messages. Meet the deadlines. Repeat.
And eventually, we become so identified with everything we have to do that we forget the one thing that was there before all of it.
I AM.
Before your name.
Before your job.
Before your responsibilities.
Before your story.
Before everything you were taught about who you are.
You are aware.
Right now, you can notice your thoughts. You can notice your body. You can notice the room around you. You can notice the fact that you are here.
And there is something incredibly beautiful about that.
You don't have to achieve anything in this moment.
Just stop.
Take a breath.
And notice:
I AM aware that I AM.
This is the part of you that was never missing.
We've become so addicted to doing that simply being can feel uncomfortable. We think something needs to happen before we can feel alive, peaceful or fulfilled.
But sometimes the most profound experience is sitting quietly and realizing:
I exist.
I am here.
I am aware.
I AM.
Neville spent so much time bringing people back to these two words because they are not just a sentence.
They are the beginning of every experience.
Before you can say I am successful, I am loved, I am abundant, I am free...
There is simply:
I AM.
Remember that.
You don't always need to become someone.
Sometimes you need to remember who is already here, experiencing it all.
I AM.
